Akofena — "sword of war." In the Akan visual language of Adinkra, Akofena represents courage, valor, and legitimate authority — the crossed swords once carried in state ceremonies as a symbol of a leader's strength and the readiness to defend what matters.
This hoodie is printed in cream ink on soft, garment-dyed black fleece, with "AKOFENA" lettered across the back in a matching cream serif. Lightweight and easy to layer, it's an everyday staple with cultural meaning woven in.

Returns & misprints
Every piece is made specifically for you, so we can't take returns for the wrong size or a change of mind (except where the law requires it).
If your order arrives damaged, defective or misprinted, we'll replace it or refund you at no extra cost. Email hello@sankofahouseshop.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we'll reply within 2 business days.
