Akofena Collection

Akofena — Twi for “Sword of war” — is an Adinkra symbol of the Akan people of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. It stands for courage, valour and legitimate authority.

We draw it as it appears in the Asante tradition. Every Akofena piece here is printed or embroidered only after you order it. Tees and hoodies carry the symbol in cream on black, with “AKOFENA” lettered across the back. Choose a tee, hoodie, cap or tote.
