Wawa Aba Collection

Wawa Aba — Twi for “Seed of the wawa tree” — is an Adinkra symbol of the Akan people of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. It stands for hardiness, toughness and perseverance through adversity.

We draw it as it appears in the Asante tradition. Every Wawa Aba piece here is printed or embroidered only after you order it. Tees and hoodies carry the symbol in cream on black, with “WAWA ABA” lettered across the back. Choose a tee, hoodie, cap or tote.
