Gye Nyame Collection

Gye Nyame — Twi for “Except for God” — is an Adinkra symbol of the Akan people of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. It stands for the supremacy and omnipotence of God — the most widely recognised of all Adinkra symbols.

We draw it as it appears in the Asante tradition. Every Gye Nyame piece here is printed or embroidered only after you order it. Tees and hoodies carry the symbol in cream on black, with “GYE NYAME” lettered across the back. Choose a tee, hoodie, cap or tote.
